I have a car seat in mine for my 20 month old. It works out great, and boy does he love when I get on it.

Exactly. This is how I do it: First, I secure the lap belt through the holes on the child seat. Then, I lean all of my weight onto the left side of the child seat, so that the lap belt will sinch down tighter. At this point, the seat will be cocked to the left. Then I straighten the seat, and repeat the whole process at least three more times, as it will sinch down a little further each time. Have fun!
