Default AOD vs T5

Does anyone know how much more drivetrain loss there is with an AOD than with a T5? I'm debating on switching back to the aod for a while... Getting bored of my T5 again. This will be the 8th transmission swap [&o]

minimally noticeable, i'd say the biggest difference is the ability to hold the gears to 5000rpms in an AOD vs. a 5spdand that makes the car feel slower.

I would bet money there more loss than 5-6%. I put an AOD in my ranger (5.0L), even with 3.73 gears the thing feels like a slug, where as my stang with the T-5 and a 3.27 gear is WAY faster. Theyre built almost identical except for the exhaust and the truck has 351 heads instead of GT-40's.

Because I have a C4, T5, & 2 aod's here & everything needed to put each of them. So the cost for putting in either will be however much the fluid is. I just feel like working on my car & transmissions swaps are pretty quick & easy to do.

Ty for the info ecstasy.

Btw, the aod & c4 both have shift kits, so shifting rpm isn't a problem. I only swapped back to my 5 speed because i missed it & wanted it back in at the time.
