quick question please!
Okay right now Im verifying my timing by getting the #1 cylinder to TDC. Heres my question. Should the rotor on the dizzy be pointing towards the #1 plug no matter what my timing is advanced to?

yea thats what I mean. The rotor should be pointing towards the #1 terminal or plug on the cap right? I think its off a tooth.

Why, how would it be a tooth off if it hasn't been out?

RE: quick question please!
yes Ive taken it out before. I thought you were asking if I had it out now.
and upon playing with it advancing the timing does affect where the rotor points.

Of course it does. You have to move it in order to advance it. But what makes you think it's a tooth off?

RE: quick question please!
If it is running ok I doubt it's a timing problem.
