1984 "mustang GT" 302 CFI
I recently bought an 84 Mustang GT, the previous owner had it in pieces and couldn't tell me anything about it or why it was apart. After reassembly and replacement a few parts, it now cranks over but gets no fuel. I rebuilt the throttle body then checked the fuel pumps (one in tank, one in line). I have no power to my fuel pumps, I do however have power to my inertia switch. Just to be clear the connector for my inertia switch has 2 wires, when I disconnect the switch and test the wires both carry 12 volts, I thoought only one would have voltage with the switch disconnected. Either way I have power there but not at either pump. Is there a fuel pump relay in this system? If so where is it located? Second whats up with my inertia switch it seems to work but makes no sense, is it bad? Finally Does anybody have any other suggestions for me I have run out of ideas.

Thanks to Bobby, e40water and Windsor for the replies. However, it did not work. The relay is located in the right rear of the engine compartment. I replaced this and still have no power to either pump.Is there any type of advice anyone can give on tracing down the problem or on how to convert to a different setup ?

OK nearly everybody tells me of the nightmare that is CFI. So I pick up an intake manifold, a carb, a mechanical fuel pump and a new timing cover. Sounds easy enough, what do I do with the existing fuel pumps? are there any other modifications to be made, like in the wiring for the existing fuel system or in the emissions system? By the way thanks for the input 86HOGT.
