people seem to be passing me alot on the highway when im doing 70mph... i think I may be going 65
I always got people on my *** that's why i decided to check. I also used my friends gps and the gps read about 3-4 mph off at 40.

I'll check my diff gear ratio later today(need to use my friend's jack). But how can i tell what speedo gear i have?

Just pull it out and look at it. Jack up the drivers side of your car and in the side of the tranny you will see the cable going in. Its just one bolt to hold it in. Take it out then just pull on the cble it will pop out!

Here is the chart for when you find out what gear you have.

Honestly bro, i heard those po-po radar things(i assume you mean the sign thing on the sides of roads that say " The speed limit is XX and you are going XX) are off a few Mph. Maybe be a myth but im sure someone on these forums has the dirt on em
I'm certified to operate and check the calibration of radar units. It's a myth. Those are usually real accurate unless for some reason one happens to be broken. But then again, they typically wont run ones that are broken. Calibration is checked on a regular basis and the speed is supposed to be +/- 1 MPH.

LoL, no problem. But I wouldn't worry about getting tickets from them. Very few have cameras and they are almost NEVER actually monitored. I'd be more worried about the actual cop with a radar unit in his cruiser. Because even with teh radar readout, someone qualified and trained has to testify (or be able to testify) they they are trained to use the unit, that they checked the calibration, and that they also obtained a visual estimate. Those things you can't easily get with a simple readout sign.

Radar guns can get way ot wack if there not calibrated. plus if its one those signs with the radar gun I seen those read way off. I try to run by one on foot and it was reading that I was running 20 mph. No way I run that fast 12-15 at best! 4 mph is not that much.

I just found out that I have 3.73s doing that test. Didn't want to mess with the cable though.

Go to Mustangs Unlimited (or where ever you get your parts) and order a new speedometer gear. They come color coded for different rear gears.
