Yes it has been done, but no, no, no, no and ...............no on all the rest. It's expesive (even if you already have the motor), the T5 will in NO WAY bolt up, aftermarket K-member will be necessary, might clear the hood, but won't pass smog b/c the motor isn't even remotely close to what came w/ the car (might physically pass...).....

Hope that helps.....

its smog legal, the swap must be from the same year or newer and retail all origional emission equiptment for smog compliance. the blown cobra motor in a fox needs a 6" cowl hood. a 4" needs to be cut. muscle mustangs and fast fords did it. fast frickin fox though, 11's in bone stock form.

k member, shock towers cut, tranny tunnel cut.

THats a hell of a swap just to run 11's or to be different. But its been done, ive seen a few fox's at shows with them. But only trailor queens in my case.

Just dont see the point quiet frankly myself unless your just trying to be different or its a show car. I would just blow a 347 and do the same thing if i was lookin to go fast.

Bigshot, that's sick as hell... but that's the Lightning engine (5.4L Triton S/C). The 03-04 Cobra engine is the 4.6L DOHC also used in the newer Mach1's and '98-99 Cobras (but those didn't have the SC).
