I keep cutting the belt when it rides the Air condition pulley. Does anyone know what can be going on. I have a smog pump delete. I was thinking if i can get rid of the smog pump delete and get a shorter belt, could that work?

yeah you could get a short belt, but you will have route it a different way. i think the part number is 850k6.

have you inspected the pulley for any burrs or dig marks that may shread a belt up, have you been using belt conditioner? not sure exactly how to route it, lay it out on paper and it'd be easy to figure out.

Are you sure that the rest of your pulleys are lined up properly. Maybe its shredding on your AC because another pulley is off...

I would investigate the problem; not find ways around it.

i think its the smog pump delete pulley. That is why i want to delete the whole pulley.Since i had some one make me the pulley and installed the supercharger the belt keeps moving.

not to highjack your thread but, Should I be putting belt conditioner on my belt or will it start slipping or something, sounds like a nebie question I'm sure....lol

I understand i could get a shorter belt but the way water pump p/S pump crank shaft and the alternator how low it is i cant seem to get the right angle.

Altenator is not there anymore. Its under the smog pump . So if i delete the smog pump pulley the belt would not have a straight run to the A/C pump. just posted a picture of the pulley diagram.
