Default Clutch pedal just started clicking.

I was riding home tonight, and stopped at a redlight. The light turned green and I pushed in the clutch and heard and felt a click in the clutch pedal. Then I heard/felt it intermittently the whole ride home. Now, it does it about half the time--even when the car is off. I had been noticing that the pedal is a little stiffer than it was after I had my clutch replaced a month ago. I assume it's my clutch cable going, but have two questions:

1. Is there anything else it could be besides the clutch cable?
2. Is it hard to change a clutch cable?
3. What is a new cable liable to set me back?

Thanks again.

Good ?... I felt the same thing on my car a couple weeks ago.. Did it one day for about 15 minutes, then it went away, haven't heard it since... I assumed it was the cable.. You can somewhat adjust the clutch by pulling up on the pedal w/ your foot.. I did that, not sure if that took care of it.. Kinda worried me for a bit though, I don't wanna put anymore $$ into my car then I have to, unless its for mods!

Yeah I feel my clutch pedal clicking or a rattling noise to, goes away sometimes or when I apply a little pressure on it.

So this means the cable is going? Or could it be the throw out bearing with the bad aluminum retainer?

Lucky you, my bros clutch cable snapped, and he had to ride home in first gear and had to run through stoplights and stop signs and ****, and to make it worse, he was arrogant, so the car was on jackstands for a week, and finially, they got it in, but didnt put in the clip that holds it to the side of the engine compartment, and it was engaging like, and inch from the end of pedal travel.

This is my story, i think it cost him, 80 bucks, maybe for the new cable, and it shouldnt take you more than 45 mins, if it does, your freakin stupid.

oh, P.S. remember to attach it to that clip on the shock tower.
