Cleaning the intake
What is the best thing to shine up an intake? Along with everything else under the hood? Metal and plastic?
I figure that since I got the camera working, Well the wife got the camera working, I would clean it up a little before I take some pics.

Gunk foamy engine cleaner, not engine brite, this is easy to use and wont hurt plastic and chrome and cleans up nice, be sure to cover all electrical! I use simple green on a lot of stuff too.

+1 on the simple green! I use it on the hole motor it works great! Im not into the shiny plastic greasy look! so I dont use anything like that. IMO The dirt and crap stick to much to stuff like armarall and tire shine!

go to the uato parts store and pick up a jug and a spray bottle of purple power degreaser. the jug is concentrated and its like 5 bucks, and the spray bottle is mixed already and its like 5 bucks. make sure you cover anywhere that you dont want it to get to and spray away. let it sit for a minute and hose/pressure was the engine bay. i use purple power on everything with my 4x4 and stang. when my tires get stained brown from the mud nothing will take the mud stain out but purple power.
