Need help with t5 borg warner!!!!
I have a 1995 mustang gt with a 5 speed. The tranny is the stock borg warner t5. I am change the clutch right now. As i was cleaning the area around the input shaft on the tranny, because im changing the throwout bearing retainer, I on accidently pulled out the in put shaft and out came about 10 little individaul bearings. they are in the shape of a cylinder. I dont see where they go now. I put the input shaft back without the bearings and the tranny will spin the out put shaft. The guy im changing the clutch with has work on cars for most of his life and does know where they go. any help is greatly appriciated.

when you pulled the shaft out, there is a gear and then on the end is a tapered area, which is the end of the shaft. if you look inside the end of your trans, you will see an area where those needle bearing set, and that tapered shaft imputs into, the bearing ride around the perimeter of that tapered area. hope that helps.

no, the end the shaft goes into. when you look into the end the shaft came out of, stick you finger down into the tranny, and you should feel a tapered hole(bearing race) the bearing lay in that race, then the shaft you took out goes into that, those bearing ride between the end of the tapered shaft and the tapered bearing race. good luck.
