Default summit rebuild?

Are the summitracing rebuild kits any good? Are they as good as a stock 5.0 1987. or are they better thin the stock stuff? what do you thank IM looking to refresh ma 5.0 its a daily driver not a drag car thanks.

So no buddy knows about them? So are there any others out there for 1k or less that will be a good set up for daily driving? I got the car last summer it runs grate no smoke or any thing but I do NOT know how meny miles are on the motor that's y I want to rebuild it some time soon thanks.

Yea, I would like to know the same thing, but my car is smoking and the oil pressure is low so I need a rebuild. Why rebuild your motor if you don't have any symptoms that it needs to be rebuilt? Be happy you don't need to rebuild.

if ur thinkin about the same kit im thinkin about, it is actually isnt made by summit. i forgot who it is made by, but ill post when i get home. im pretty sure it is a good kit and im sure its a great price, so go for it. the parts are better than stock and im pretty sure you can get higher compression pistons.

Yeah, Summit doesn't manufacture their own parts. They just put their name on other brands they get at a huge discount, then sell them for less. Summit is a very reputable company so you can rest assured their parts are high quality. I've ordered a ton of stuff from them and have never been unhappy. They ship super quick and they have great service. Just make sure you get forged pistons, and ask about substituting Fel-Pro high performance gaskets.
