Default Power Window Motor rebuild?

My drivers window motor is on the fritz, can they be rebuilt and where did you guys find a kit?

If its shot check out 50resto and pick up a new one. Not that expensive at all.

just get a new one a lot of mustang sites cary them i would go with mustangsunlimited.com they are less expensive then 50resto.com and they ship faster

Cehck to see if just the bushings are shot. Pull the motor out and hit the switch. If it spins then the bushings are shot. if not its the motor. You can get boht the bushings and the Motor from 5.0 resto depending on what the problem is.

if i put my windows all the way down and then turn the car off and turn it back on they windows get stuck it happens every once in a while when someone is in my car and puts their window all the way down and i dont relize it i just take my panel off and hit the motor with a hamer a couple times really hard and it goes back up i can live with it cause my windows go up and down nice and fast

50resto, pull it out test it when its not attached to the window, if it moves but real slow or slips then its the bushings if its not moving at all its the motor

This is what mine is doing and how I correct it also. But I've read about a kit we can get to rebuild the motor without replacing the motor. Maybe I'm cheap but if I could rebuild the one I have I'd rather do that. Anyone.....Anyone...[sm=goodidea.gif]

have you tried cleaning the motor? also lube'in the moving parts?
