deffanitly bad dont drive it with the cable offf.. will cook your tranny in no time... go to a ford realership.. get a new bushing.. i think there like 4 or 5 bucks.... and i put mine on in the parking lot.. took like 30 seconds on my 92 t-bird sport.

I wont drive it anymore... I know now... i didnt think the cable did anything if it wasnt attached only if it was attached and out of adjustment.
