Default What's this vacuum line do?

Hey everyone,

What does #4 on the image below do? It's supposed to be hooked up to a metal line that does a u-turn on the spot, comes back around and goes to the charcoal box.

The reason I ask is that I have just discovered that this line has not been hooked up for quite some time now. I have a Cobra intake and I guess since it got installed, the guy who did it didn't connect it. I would bring it back, but they have since closed down, plus, I try to do EVERYTHING on the car now.

Ok, that's good I guess. What is the MAP sensor? And can I assume that it's alright to drive the car without that line hooked up for now? I obviously need to put it back in when I get the chance, but I'll have to pull off my intake, my strut brace, etc and it's my daily so I can't do it one day at a time... especially since tomorrow is monday.

Yeah, I just needed help with #4 lol but thanks man.

So is it safe or not to drive around without it being connected? It goes directly to the box on the pass side near the radiator. Doesn't branch off or anything.

Alright, gonna take off for a few (taking the bus).

Someone please let me know if it's safe to drive it around without pushing it or whatever. I'm gonna try to put it in tonight, if I can't I'll finish tomorrow after work, but it's a pain b/c it's a 10 mile commute. Let me know please.

+1 on the canister... the one facing the dizzy goes to the canister on your pass inner frame rail.
