Default Best Header for stock 5.0

Well bought 1991 Mustang LX a couple weeks ago, and it has a flowtech header on it that's a year old looks like 10yrs old. It already has cracks in it, so pretty much it's a piece of junk, they are long tube. There is no internal upgrades to the motor, just pully's and timing advanced also 355 gears. Not sure how far I will go with the internals but wondering what header I should buy for it, I'm guessing a shorty header ceramic header, with engine mods I'm guessing longtube...anyone....lol

BBK Shorties, ceramic coated, the debate over equal/unequal length will go on forever, so get what you like. Good Luck

+1, I have a set of mac shorties, nickel plated that are about 12 years old, and theyre still in pretty good shape. My car was driven through about 4 winters with these on. They use a lot of salt here, so they shoulda rusted but they didnt. Ive replaced 3 hpipes in the same time but the headers are still in good shape.

I was looking at the BBK shorty's equal length they look like they have alot of bends to them. The only BBK header they are showing that claim hp are the long tubes, any thoughts there?

mac's suck, get a header with a once piece flange to avoid warping, I have FMS ceramic coated shorties, and they still shine like the day I got them out of the box

The long tubes are scrapping when I turn the wheel, and cracking. They are cheap Flowtech, so there going in the garbage. Any thoughts on a new header that I won't get into any problems, last long and get the best hp gains...???
