Default 91 5.0 with Mustang II performance???

Took my 100% stock 91 5.0 LX vert to Firebird raceway this weekend. Did this to get a good baseline of the cars performance. Its got the slushbox automatic in it. I ran it four times in a matter of 30 minutes. Nothing was changed from run to run (besides my crappy R/T's :-) No tire spin off the line.

16.302 86.62
16.253 86.53
16.296 86.38
16.208 86.74

I am sorta unsure of the weight but I went with 2960 from Edmunds.com. Add 160lbs, me. 64lbs, 8 gallons of gas. 3184 lbs total. HP estimator is saying this combo yields 147 HP.!? I am guessing that is at the rear wheels. So 147 x .22 drivetrain loss equals................drumroll please..........................179 ****ING HP!!!!!! I just sorta puked in my mouth!! Granted this thing is stock, bone stock. Where the hell are my other 50 ponies?????
The car had a tune up just before I purchased it, new plugs, wires, belts, filters and the such.

Either my car weighs more than I thought.
My transmission is not as efficient as I thought......
Anyone else? Got anything to add? What am I missing here? Thanks.

Thats pretty high times BUT you are a vert so add a few tenths for that. Were you using your footbrake? or just going off idle.

I ran an est. 15.2 w/ my stock GT (G-Tech- pretty accurate when stock) on cold street tires.

you should prolly be a mid-low 15 second car. the auto/vert doesnt help but that seems a little weak.

I still need to check everything out. Who knows maybe they got the wrong plugs installed and gapped bad. Maybe there is a birds nest in the airfilter. Maybe the timing is out to lunch. Won't know until I have everything looked at.

tl86gt, I agree. Whats sad is the first $500-$1000 in mods is only gonna get me to stock numbers.

I want a Miata!!

Well, given that my car (93 AOD bone stock) only pulled a 15.2 on a G-tech you should be around 15.5-15.6 if you are also 100% bone stock vert. So your not too far off but it seems like something is running right. Also, I have my timing bumped... thats it.

93 LX FiveO, I am assuming uncorrected. The times are straight off of the timeslip. Are you talking about correcting for altitude? Shuffle shifting is 1-D-1, right? I was not shifting, I let the car shift itself. 45XXX miles.
60' and R/T's.

Looking at my ET's you would have thought I was drinkin!!

i had a 2.414 60' time last time i went to the track i still ran a 15.2@92mph in the quarter.... so.. unless you did the tuneup yourself.. change some wires and plugs.... if you did the tune up.. then i dont know man.. something seems a lil off to me.. i know the verts are a lil heavier.. and the aod's arent that good stock.... but a 16.2-.3.. seems pretty slow.. i mean.. you.. have a chance of loseing to a quick civic now... i would check the car over a lil..check fuel pressure... clean your injectors.. clean your maf... try something man.
