Hey I've got a 1984 Mustang GT 5.0 with a 3.55 Detroit Locker posi rear end, engine bored to a 306, and a King Cobra clutch...I'm lookin to buy a new shifter because the one in it now is garbage...It is supposedly a Steeda short throw although it has a Hurst **** on it and it just feels wrong...Reverse is the worst gear to get it into and 2nd is kinda fishy...I was thinkin about going with a Ford Racing Pro-5.0 shifter, although others come into consideration like a B&M Ripper...If anyone has any suggestions on which shifter to get please let me know, thanks.

i have the same question i dont really want a short throw i want more of a drag shifter csuse its not a dd any advice would be greatly apprecitaed

it could be a steeda.... mines a little sketchy going into reverse and 2nd sometimes, just gotta put a little forearm into it, thats what makes it fun. i dont think you can go wrong with Pro 5.0 or MGW.

i put on a MGW and they are amazing, just my two cents
