Default Stroked Motor

Are there any drive ability issues with a stroked motor? I'd like to use a 347 in my daily driver, which I take to the track (not drag racing) when ever I can. I've never driven a car w/a stroked motor.

I've run into a CONSTANT problem when driving a 347 stroker mustang that a friend owns... I seem to have a problem keeping the within the speed limit. I seem to develop a severe case of leadfoot whenever driving it Not sure why and not sure if that's the kind of problems you are looking for though. But it is a serious issue that needs to be addressed.

Just do it. It will be the best thing you have ever done. Mine is not a daily driver, but is driven VERY often. I love the way it preforms on the street. Remember when you go to track no one has to know it is stroked. "Yea it's a 5.0"

Do you have any valve-to-piston issues w/a 331 or 347? In other words, can I take a set of alum. GT-40X heads and an E303 cam? (I like torque, that why the E cam verses the B cam.)

I did not have any issues. I also did not use the combo you are planning to use. I have twisted wedge heads and the tfs stage II cam.

So you (91dsslx) drive a stroker, does it have noticibly more torque than a supercharged engine? I like low-end torque, it's more usable for daily driving.

Strokers rock... the bottom line is how much money do you have... i think for most, if ya put a supercharger on the car an called it a day you would be far better off... unless you can do ALL the mechanics yourself... an then it's still gonna cost ya bunches... just my very most humble opinion based on just a little experience.... Recently installed a 347 with E cam and Vortech on a friends 89 convertable. Car rocks! Drives it everywhere. Tons of torque.

the torque is crazy. I personally have never had a s/c car, but it would have to bow up to have more torque than the stroker. I will be installing a procharger in the next couple of months. I will have the best of both worlds.
