351 Swap Questions/Expectations!!!!!!!!!!
I wanted to get some input on the expectations of this particular application as far rwhp/lbstq and how much the engine would be able to hold in the future. It would be carbed so advice on carb size and specs would be appreciated as well. Trying to see 500rwhp N/A!!!!!

AFR 185's (upgraded springs)

500rwhp N/A will cost some serious bucks.
you will have to stroke it out to 408 or 427, have some
AWESOME ported heads, custom cam and spin it up pretty high to see 500 at the wheels.
Another guy in here is running a 408 w/ demon carb and AFR 205's and make about 425rwhp.

first no daul plane intake will net anything close to 500hp if your not going to stroke engine or use a power added then it will costly and not very friendly on the street

-forged rear axles $300.
- slicks(you have), racing driveshaft( $200-300 balanced),
-transmission updated $ 600 yours $1000 new tranny.
-Driveshaft safety loop( $90),
-Subframe welded, connectors($ 175 installed ),
-strut tower brace ($130),
-heavy duty springs and supension mods( minor) $300.
- Headers, Oil Pan and intake will differ from the 302.
-Better brakes $200 + depends, your not stopping 500 lbs of torque easy man, in this lightweight car.
Now engine , 351 spec out to any in this link will get you 500 hp, so yeah, its easy , not too expensive. I could do the conversion all in one day lol.
SO $2500-$3000 without engine. Engine if your installed it yourself? $5,500 max, with machine work and stroker kit , heads, intake, etc?

you will be in the 10's min id say, but your pushing the danger level , man, i meen youd be smokn the new 2007 Corvetts, Mustangs and all.
oh and a roll cage, incase you roll over, youll live to sell me all that stuff for a decent price
