sealed chassis?

sealed chassis?
hey everybody, i just went to get a full service oil change today (it was pouring out so i couldn't do it myself) anyway, under the list of services performed one of the things it says they did is seal my chassis? i don't have any idea what that does, i'm sure it's not a big deal i'm just curious and if there are any mechanics out there or any one who knows i would love to know. thanks
