May want to replace the stator pickup in the dizzy as well...$16 and can cause a motor not to start after getting hot.

mine did the same thing, but it would take about 30-45 minutes before it would start.I spent a couple of weeks and $150 until I figured it out.It was the ECM!I went through the same thing, ign.module, coil, tps, plugs, wires, cap, rotor,fu el filter etc.It would start up fine and wouldn't ever die while it was running, but as soon as I shut it off it wouldn't start back up for 30 minutes or so.GOOD LUCK!

at least there's always the comfort of new parts, whether or not they fixed anything!
I know this will hurt but.... sometimes w/aftermarket electrical parts problems can arise. I was chasing the elusive "hunting idle" once and changed alot of stuff(and cleaned alot of parts). only to find out the "new" ECT I installed was causing problems. I put an NOS part on and my car was all better. I only learned this through trial and error and $$$. I know I should have taken somewhere but what fun is that. Hope it cures your problem.

ECT replaced -- didn't change anything.

i tried a new ignition coil in the autozone parking lot, didn't change anything -- so i took that fugger back.

VigCS ::: the stator pickup in the dizzy -- are you referring to the sensor internal to the dizzy that plugs into the ignition module that mounts to the exterior of the dizzy?? if so, that was replaced last week, along with the ignition module -- neither affected my symptoms in any way.

i'm pretty sure i'm getting blue spark from my tester, so i don't think i've got the "weak spark" deal goin here.

TITANIUM91VERT ::: since your car ended up needing an ECM -- did you have any spark when it wouldn't start?? was it a weak spark condition, or did you have nothing??

this car is close to being sold, i'm gettin sick of this!!

Well I wish it was a simple fix(ie. ECT). Sorry to hear your woes. But don't sell her, you'll get it. They are just like women sometimes.... just can't figure them out and can't get rid of them.

Don't forget your salt & pepper...also need to check for injectors pulse, if spark and fuel pressure are not the problem, also check this other No Start case.....my 2¢

yeah, so the car won't "not start" now lol. kinda aggrivating that i can't fix whatever the problem WAS, but i guess its not doing it... so, woohoo??

sometimes it takes a couple attempts to start it, but it consistently fires now. my 88 gt has a f*ckin ghost in it!!!!!

Check the IAC, KILLA E just fixed his problem after all the work he went through. While running disconnect the IAC and see if it does the same thing as it was doing. IAC effect the idle tremendously.

i've got no problem with idle. my problem was that the car wouldn't start when it was hot. it had to cool off a bit before it would start up. i screwed with the IAC (unplug, plugged, different combos while running/cranking, etc) --- didn't affect my symptoms.
