any free/cheap hp mods out there?
now i know you guys must know of a quick cheap wayt to increase hp.... i orderd my long tube headers, and will be gettin a 3in flowmaster done at my local muffer shop... im gunna remove the a/c tonite, possible remove the fan goin ele.... is there any lil things i could do to get alil more outta her... smog **** maybe idk....thanks guys

i did just a cone filter right now.i will be buildin/weldin up a box/shield to keep it from the heat of the motor, that filter gets pretty hot... i have an msd 6a sittin in my shop not sure if itll work but its worth a shot.. what about portin out the TB,intake,under drive pullys worht it?

I'm not so sure you want 3 inch exhaust. With a stock engine, you're gonna do more harm than good (as far as performance.)
Cheap mods:
Bump up the timing, UD pulleys, CAI, X-pipes... guess it depends on what your definition of "cheap" is.
Slightly more money, C/H/I, but it's worth it. In my opinion...the best bang for your buck (HP per dolalr spent) = heads.

cai?? c/h/i?? i do plan on gettin rid of the 2.73's probly either 3.73's or 4.10's... theres a guy local that says he has a set of 87-93 heads portd,polishd, matchd said hes got about 350$ in the heads only wants 150.. he ran 12.8's with those heads.. mmm

ive heard of a 5 spd notch running a high 13.

depends, my 95 5.0 stock with and aode transmission ran a 15.1. supossedly the 5-speed runs about a 14.8 i've heard some of the 5-speed foxes run mid to low 14's. i'm sure someone else on here could back that up.

C/H/I = Cam / Heads / Intake Mainfold
You'll notice a big difference with gears, but you're not really gaining HP. It's worth it either way though. If you get those heads for $150 and there's nothing wrong with them, then I'd jump on that deal. Oh, you might as well get some good headers to go with the exhaust too. Are you running AOD or manual tranny? If AOD / AODE then grab yourself a nice TransGo shift kit for about $100.
