Just wondering if its normal or not. My power steering pump sounds really loud. When im turning it humms really loud. it doesnt sound bad but its just loud. Should I change my fluid? what should I check?

i would check your fluid, and i am going to go against what alot of others will try and tell you. it is NOT normal, it may happen to alot of fords out there eventually but it shouldnt be like that. my car doesnt make a sound and neither does my 88 ford e350 van when i turn it even if i have it cranked all the way. Having said that, It does happen often to fords though.

last time I had a car that did that... it was pissing power steering fluid everywhere. But then again, it was really loud. Started out quiet but got louder as fluid levels went down.

well, mine doesnt leak fluid.......... but its louder then my exhaust! LOL!

check for leaks

it should only make noise if its starving or if the belt is loose

My power steering sounds bad i wuold change the fluid ,couse it looks braun :S i guess i have to change it ..my question is how..??
i got to do something special,or pretty much have to figure it out?

Take it somewhere that does power steering flushes. That usually takes care of the noise.
