speed correction

Default speed correction

i finally figured out what gear ratio i have- 2.37-now i need to know where i can get a correction gear tried 5.0 resto and didnt see the one i need for the gears i have. any ideas.

i think that would be 2:73's. Try your local for dealer they should be able to get you one since thoae are factory gears. No after market company will have them because they are not desireable gears. No offence!

they are 2.37 not 2.73 i ran the numbers on a web site that i found and it said 2.37 http://www.speedworldmotorplex.com/calc.htm

tire size 25.49 in 205 65 15

i know that at 2500 rpm im running 80 mph b\c i got a nice highway patrol car to check it for me-not on purpose- only cost me $124

at the bottom of the link it says if i have 25.49 tire diameter and am doing 80 mph at 2500 rpm then i have 2.37 gears

your rpms prolly arent reading right, stangs are notorious for that.

2.37? I really don't think that is right. If anything it has to be 2.73.
