I plan on bumping my timing and after reading all the posts about Bumping timing and "pinging" I want to know; what does this "pinging" sound like, is it REALLY noticable or a very distinct sound or could it be mistaken for lifter tick?

Pinging, also known as spark knock, will sound more like a rattle rather than a tick.

You can relate the sound to; The sound of shaking a Empty Spray Paint can.
