well i was putting my new rotors and pads on yesterday and i realized that the inner portion of my front tire was down to the threads haha.

i think i need new ball joints, or maybe just an alignment? cause theres like 60% tread left on the rest of the tire, its like a 2 inch wide wear on the inside of the tire.

could it be anything else?

That sounds right.
Try getting an alignment after you put on your rotors and ball joints on.
Tires aren't cheap, you don't want that to happen again.

could be tie rod ends or bad bearings, maybe even some worn bushings. Will you do the work yourself?

I was having the same problem but with the outside of my tire. Take it to schwabs and have them align it, they won't do it unless your tierods/balljoints/whatever is good. Let them get dirty first and then you won't have to fork out money for stuff you might not need. In my case my tierod was ruined so I bought one and did it, and then had them align it afterward.
