[:@]Car has trick flow twisted wedge heads,ported and polished, Ford motorsports F cam , Ford motorsports roller rockers, Arp push rods, The problem I'm having is a ticking noise from engine. It happens when the car warms up, now heres where it gets hairy, my buddy who I bought the car from said, when he bought the heads, the valve guides were junk, causing a huge ticking noise, he took em off and sent them back, Trick flow reworked the valve guides or fixed them some how. He reinstalled them and here we are, the noise is one of those things that you can live with but, is always on your mind. I'm 99% sure this is not a header leak, could this be lifters, or valve guides still crap,or detonation problems, or misadjusted rockers. rockers are 1.6's. Car was dynoed recently and tech adjusted lifters, dont get me wrong the car runs great, just want it perfect! Where do I start? Any feedback would be great!

Maybe the valves werent adjusted right...

yep, I think so too, just hoping to find someone w/ similiar problem before i tear into him

I think you covered all the possibilities. My guess would be a lifter gone bad.

Yes I believe that could be it too, Would it only do it when it was hot though? 45 psi oil pressure at high rpm's , I'm thinking it should be more, maybe causing lifters to not fill up enough.

I don't know...if it was a lifter, it would do it all the time, cold or hot. Same with a rocker.

Maybe I should go w/ valve guides again, only doing it when it is hot is the key to finding out the problem I believe.
