Default Rear brake upgrade

How did you do it? I know of the kit from SSBC, but got to be a cheaper way to accomplish the same thing. My car in question is a '90 GT. I do want to retain my stock lug pattern. Any info is appreciated.

Lift the rear discs from an old T-Bird Turbo coupe. 80's T-Birds used the same rear-end as the Mustang. However, the axles on the T-bird might be longer than the Mustang counter-parts.
