Man that sucks.......I bet if you sleep on it you figure it out....

I always come up with something the next day after dreaming about it.......You may need yours for work so I know that doesn't help.

If you are tired and agrevated, like I get when I work on the hooptey, i want to smash crap in the wall....

cant sleep till its done. went ot white castel at 4 am last night that was cool and my only break so far from this sheet

Line it up on TDC. The rotor should be pointing at #1 on the cap. If it's not, you're off a tooth.

Alright....then I agree with pro 50.........one tooth and you are off enough to make it run like crap....Its sounds easy to fix but I have only advanced mine and never pulled the shaft out but it sounds like you are on track with your thinking.....

Lets see what 50 says.....

it's easier with two people. But put a pencil, or something long and skinny (no no no don't put THAT in there jk), and have it rest on the top of the piston. Turn the crank with a ratchet and socket until you feel the piston reach TDC. I dunno if I explained that too well, I have a hard time putting my actions into words.

or i supose i can tkae my valve cover off, put it in neutral, and crank the crankshaft by hand till the number one pisting intkae valve goes down correct?

but thats a ton of worke for me right now not to mention it would break my gasket soo ide RATHER NOT have ot do that
