Default FRPP Cobra Brake kit on an 86 GT?

Can the Ford Racing Cobra brake conversion kit be used on an 86 GT? The kit says 87-93 but I thought I saw somewhere that you could use it on 79-86 5.0 if you replaced the fron struts with the 87-93 version. Does the kit keep the stock track width? I have read many posts on the various 5-lug conversions, but I am leaning towards an "all inclusive" kit with quality parts.

I did it on an 86 LX, you need 87-93 V8 struts, camber/caster plates, and to modify the routing of the parking brake cables...the 94-95 struts are very close to stock track
