Couple Questions on 91 5.0
1991 5.0 Mustang
Just installed Hypertech chip, noticed pinging at 4500 RPM's using 91 Octane, timing was at 10 1/2. So I put the timing down towards 9 1/2 stopped pinging. Seems to rev up quicker and a little more responsive, but talking to a friend of mine and said take it out, that there is a few other things you can do that free's up hp and a little tweak on the timing then put fuel octane boost to her.... any response
Also, I believe that long tube headers loose power on a stock vehicle, so I might install stock headers after I get a quarter mile time...lol
