Default Finall got a timing light..a question though!

I finally got a timing light, actually my dad gave me one when i was in NY.

What should i bump my timing to? I'm hearing alot of bumping it to 19, im not sure yet. want to hear from others.

PS. the timing light looks like a gun right? with a dial near the grip and it has a black red wires like a jumper cable? IM just making sure its not the wrong ****.

I wouldn't go that high...I run mine at 14 degrees, but I also run 93 just to be safe. If you go over 12*, I would run premium gas to prevent detonation.

Stock is 10*, sometimes as little as 8*. I would at least bump it up to 12-13, maybe a little more. Be sure to do it a little at a time and see how it handles it before you jump too many *'s.
