Default is there more than one way to run serp. belt?

i have no smog/a/c and a/c delete kit where steering pump is relocated..

i ran it from alt to crank around water pump to power steerin pump.

the "right" way i thought was ....alt. to waterpump around crank to powersteering pump.

which way?...or both?

starting at the crank I go to the alternator, under the tensioner, to the ps pump, around the water pump and back to the crank

I have that same set-up and the guy at summit told me I need a 73.5 belt and its way too big. So I need a smaller belt. Just wondering if that 71.5 belt fits well?

it fits perfect just when you pull the tensionor start from the bottom of the power steering pump...it's easier.

i just wanted to make sure i had it right, cause the sticker (yeah i still have it)...shows from alt to water pump..i went from alt to crank.

Yea I have the sticker and have seen other peoples pics with the setup I have and it really pissed me off bc I drove all the way down to Summit (2hrs) to get it and they gave me the wrong belt.
