347 Stroker on Daily Driver
I travel about 40+ miles a day, but currently want much more power.
I'm going to be saving up for a stroker kit+heads for my car soon. Just want to know if that stroker is going to make my engine last a week
Well, I want something reliable and wont die on me...
How long do they generally run for?

RE: 347 Stroker on Daily Driver
i think it all just depends on who builds your motor......whether they know what theyre doing or not. cuz, the place that built my friends 347, they KNOW what theyre doing. hes had his like 5/6/7yrs and ran the dog **** out of it b4 he went to jail, and he drove it everyday. car ran fine. totally streetable. i mean, the 331 makes good power, but, just like to be able to say i have the cubes. so, when i get my motor built, im goin thru CHP and buying one of their 347 kits. but, either way you go you should be happy with it. as long as u take care of it(routine maintenance), im sure itd be fine as last for u a long time. just when u dont take care of it is when **** start to happen that u dont want to happen.

Lotsa the old 347 stroker kits had oiling problems, by way of a poor design causing alot of side load pressure in the cylinder bore. Vfast can explain it best, but most of the quality its now have fixed that problem.
