Rent a GT350H from Hertz, just tell him it's your new car. They all (GT350H's) have auto trannies, so at least you won't miss a gear.
I have an '05 and a close friend has an '04 SRT4 and he can't keep up without grenading his clutch. They weight over 3000lbs with
215(early) or 230(late) hp. Similar to what an '87-'93 5.0L has(with more torque to boot from the 302). Gears-3.73s at least/lower CAs/DRs and a healthy clutch should make an interesting race. You've had your Mustang longer, right? Practice your technique, until it becomes second nature. Be prepared! Make us 'Stang owners proud! Good luck and don't race on busy roads!

with your mods you could keep up with him. especially cause our cars are hard as hell to launch. damn torque steer. but with an aftermarket wastegate im guessing he's probably boosting 17 psi, anymore and the computer would pull timing. but from a dig you should take him. if he has enough since he will upgrade his exhaust and atleast get a k&n drop-in soon. g/l

Have you ever thought about getting the Trickflow kit and just salvaging it onto whatever engine to get next? I would say that your engine will hold atleast 50K more than what it currently has, being well maintained and all. Or you could just slap the N20 like others have suggested.

What a glutton for punishment! Poor SRT4 owner [&o]. I raced an '03 Cobra before(don't think it had those mods though) outta
curiosity and didn't get worked like that! I lost, but only a handful of car lengths(maybe he was taking it easy on me). I say if they're brave(or stupid enough) to line up, then WASTE 'em[sm=shootshoot.gif]

actually today i raced one from a dig and whooped him...i have a 89 5.0 rebuilt motor bored .30 over, cam, CAI, bbk headers, rebuilt trans with 2800 stall and shift kit...with 3.73 rear gears...and i have an automatic....but those cars are pretty quick from a roll...havnt raced one yet......put on a couple bolt ons...or just add 100 shot like everyone else says.....g/l
