RE: Upcoming race vs SRT-4
should be a very good race, i raced my buddies vw gti which has a turbo and he has some mods done. From 1st i just spun but by second and going to third i had 2 lengths on him. He says that he loses to srt-4's once going into 3rd and 4th. So as long as you launch good keep on it till you stop. Try not to race from a roll

RE: Upcoming race vs SRT-4
heres what i know: i have a 93 GT with 128000 milies and an intake mainfold, msd ignition, 8mm talor wires, bbk headers, flowmaster (still have 4 cats), accel coil, 70mm throttle body, and of course a CAI, and very minor suspension work. oh yea i also have75 shot of good ol zex... how ever, the bottle was NOT in the car at the time of the race (its pretty expensive!!).
i raced a stock (to the best of my knowedge) srt4. we raced 4 times and i pulled him consistently by a 1/2 to 3/4 of a car length every time.
so if you can muster up close to what ever the hell RWHP i have, combine with a medeorcore start on his behalf, you shold make him a bit more humble.
i had the unfortunate oportunity of owning a srt4. the damn thing, with 15000 miles on it, broke all the time. it was in the dealership 7 times in 7 months for axils (2 of them) and other stupid quality contorl BS. if you loose, tell him to have a nice time with the car after the warranty expires!! i was lucky enought to get rid of the money pit and i came to my senses and bought a 5.0... with out one single problem yet!!
