well i dont know my gas mileage. Yet my dad has a 1990 5.0 GT Mustang and he gets 17 mpg with his 400 hp engine. He has a 302 bored over to a 306 and 3.73 gears and its manual but somehow with his 400 hp engine he gets 17 mpg. Tell me how that happens?

as far as 6's go this is what was optional in foxes. not many were avaliable in the us. they was very popular in canada however.
79- 2.8L 2V V6 109hp

some foxes even had straight sixes
but for a v8 mustang i get 20+ around town and 28+ on the highway with my 91 gt vert only have exhaust and k+n, bumped timing as mods and a 5spd but cant really count that since it could have came that way

I recently took ownership of my mothers 94 gt that she bought new and has remained completly stock, 90k miles with the only time it saw over 2k rpm was with me behind the wheel(I had to beg). I drove it from indiana to phoenix and was suprised to get 25 mpg while cruising at 75-85. Now in the city of phoenix I am able to get 15-20 depending on how I drive.
