Default GETTING VERY FRUSTRATED!!

OK. My GF baught my a set of Motive 3.90's for my birthday last week but I am having a SUPER hard time finding someone to install them. Main reason is because of price but I had two shops turn me down today because they were Motive gears and they said that they have issues. Please can someone fill me in here. Also, if anyone knows any shops in NJ that are decently priced let me know. Here are the shops I already tried. And BTW, these prices are with me providing the gears, installation kit, gasket and oil.

Downs Ford - $600
Crazy Horse Racing - WONT DO IT BECAUSE THEY ARE MOTIVE
No Limit Performance - NO ANSWER
Superior Automotive - $400-500
LaRoccas Performance - $325 (but have to wait a few weeks)
Joe's Transmission - WONT DO IT BECAUSE THEY ARE MOTIVE
Valley Performance - $450
M&M Performance - out of business
Outrageous Mustangs - $525
JDM - Wont even touch it because its a 5.0

CAN SOMEONE HELP ME BEFORE I GO NUTS [&:]

There is a place right down the block from my house J&M motorsports. They work exclusively on RX-7's but they have done work for me in the past and will work with you. had them change my entire rear one time and swap gears for $400. So if all you need is gear swap im sure the owner will prob charge you somewhere between $250-300. Only thing is its on long island probably a 1-2 hour drive for you but if you want to know more just PM me.

i wish you lived near me, Andy automotive here slapped in my 3.90s and trac lock rebuild all for 300 wasnt an issue that they were motive gears... I didnt shop around much though just because these guys do all my work when i need to take it to a shop. They do great work and are prolly the best priced as well, real small shop though...

Don't know your area, but call around in local towns and other cities. For example, when I had my sixer, mind you I live in Louisiana on the North Shore which was hit pretty hard by Katrina, and most shops were destroyed I couldn't find anybody in Slidell to do the install. I was told that they were unable to do limited slip differentials, but after doing a lot of asking around I found one shop located 20 miles away in Abita Springs that did, now they were going to charge $400 but I expected that around here. Only thing is I bought the GT instead of the gear install and sold my gears and t-lok here on the forums.

+1, a book, and a dial indicator with magnetic base on it. Should be able to do it then.

Something else that is important on there rear ends are pinon depth. I forgot about the indicator....take for granted everyone dosen't have the tools I have, I am a tool and die maker.

+1... There is an IN DEPTH write up on a Jeep forum that is 8.8 specific. GREAT write up. Goes through great detail; it's almost too much info. I installed my 3.55's and my friends 3.73's. Patience, time, and attention to detail are key.

PM me and I can send you the link when I go into work.
