Afr 165 heads

I just ordered a scat 347 stroker kit today. The guy that runs the performance shop I go to has had a set of afr 165's that he took off a engine with 1000 miles on it. He wants 1000 for them with crane roller rockers but I'm not sure if the heads would be too small. I know I'd have no problem hitting 300rwhp with those heads on a 347 but I think they would keep my power band too low. Do you guys think these are too small. I'm not looking for any high rpm shifting but I want a power band to 5500 rpm. What do you guys think.

hmm, i think they would suit it pretty good, but i came accross a few good deals the last 2 deals, a brand new edelbrock performer rpm intake for $300, and a set of afr 185's brand new for $1000, my question is with a b-303 cam n edelbrock performer rpm intake, what pistons are needed n so on? n what kind of rocker arms, stud or pedestal?

i think they're about perfect. 165's are fine.

Scat stuff is great, great quality. Good kit.

I'm going with forged pistons that came with the scat kit and supposedly I can run up to a 208 valve with them so I think that would work with afr 185's. I think afr are stud mounted rockers. If you get a part number and look it up at there website it will tell you what kind of rockers you need.
