Default Easy Burnout?

Whats the easiest/ safest way to do a burnout at the track? leave it in 1st gear and drop the clutch and go for the brake? SOme ppl said put it in second and drop the clutch? what RPM shud i do it at? i hav a 95 GT 5 SPD?

Well, i do mine in 1st. Never had any trouble, ive seen lots of people do them in second and 2nd gear goes out, but ive never seen anyone loose 1st doing a burnout. I always spin the tires as fast as possble so its less strain on the gear, because the faster the tire spins the less friction there is so less strain. If your running slicks, id keep a good bit of pressure in them if i was on a stock T5, Slicks are notorious for killing T5's, ive lost a T5 on slicks.
