cars starts but shuts off when its cold unless i hold pedal
the cars starts up and runs perfect , its just when it first starts when its a bit cold i will have to hold pedal or it will die out, what needs to be adjusted or looked at

Do you have a cam of any kind?
Try the usual stuff, like Cleaning the IAC sensor, see what your TPS voltage is at, also check your IAT (Intake Air temp sensor). I broke mine and it did that.

its an 86 but has a different motor in it since it was a 6 cyl, it has cam, heads, bbk 65mm throttle body,headers and exhaust with flowmasters and h pipe no cat, i really like no know ehere to start, i may just bring it to a mustang shop if i get no help here that works

if its got a pretty large cam, its not that un-common to have cold idle issues. I have to sit and pedal my car for awhile to get it to idle steady.

oh no **** i just got the car as it was and it has alot done and a deal for what i paid, i will post some pics tommorow on the forum, it has heads,cams,headers,intake manifold,bbk 65 mm throttle body, flow masters, h pipe no cats, cobra valve covers and much more all i paid was 1350, its a convertable 86 with a 89 front end ( headlights bumper ) the only thing the car needs is a top and interior which is not bad to find any one know if the 89-93 interior works btw, well the car was originally a 6 too, the body has 85,000 miles from florida its clean no rust anywhere just needs paint, even the spots they usully rust has none, but thanks any more comments on cold issue or could it just be the cams btw what shoudl fuel pressure be at roughly
