If your going to spend that much money on heads, you shouldn't have to port them to flow .01 of a percent better then AFR's, they should be ready to bolt on and go.
Actually, according to THIS, TW's outflow AFR's slightly. But, even if they didn't, they are $200 cheaper for not much difference. There's nothing wrong w/ porting some new heads....might as well make them as good as possible before you stick them on the motor and decide later that you should have spent a little extra time on them....

GIVE THE MONEY TO ME Ok I would go ahead and upgrade the gears, it's gonna give you a nice bit of off the line boost. Now with what you have left over you can do a few small things or save up for a big mod. A few small mods would be a cai CLICK ME, u/d pulleys, and maybe some type of intake like a a trickflow or holley, but that's strickly up to you.

The AFR heads give more power 'cause they yield a higher compression(you did say you wanted reliability, didn't you?) and are
CNC machined from the factory, I agree that TFS's will give more power with some added work. Higher compression means detonation, choose your heads wisely. Here in Cali, we only get 91 octane fuel(for $3.50/gal), so supercharging become an exercise
in not going too crazy if you want a daily ride. Since you're only running 6psi, I think you are aware of this. You need to ask yourself, do you want more power and handling, or just one or the other? For street driving I think aluminum heads not necessary, just give your current heads a freshening up, a little flow work and concentrate on the things you wish were improved on your car. Brakes, handling, wheels/tires, etc. It's up to you to decide what you're expecting from your car.[sm=signs003.gif]
