Wow, my tach must be off b/c it says I am doing 95 at 3000rpms in 5th gear. I did it the other way and it said I sould be at 2600rpm going 80mph. Huh...

Oh incase you all were wondering, there is nothing wrong with my tranny, but my h pipe and cat backs are falling apart which is OK as I was going to new ones anyways. But I had them check out my rear end and do that little thing with the tire and driveshaft, turns out I have 3.55 gears, which is what I was getting when I plugged all my info into the calculator so all I can say is that little calculator is pretty accurate.
Come on, I told you that a few days ago when you asked. I even said you had 3.55s. LoL. You mean you doubted me?

Now be a real man and get some 3.73s or 4.10s LoL

What's your tire siez, tranny, etc... It may be the same thing. 80MPH at 2600RPM could very well be 95MPH at 3000 RPM. Higer RPM in the same gear = higher speed.

My speed is 80 and my tach reads 3000rpms. That is what is funny, it should read like 2600 or my speedo should be reading 95mph. I have t-5(1987) 3.73 and 255/40/17 tires.

check out the gear calculator link for the v8 05+ mustang. you can change wheel, tire aspect, tread width, axle gear, tranny gear, rpm and see what mph is.

www.speedshoppro.com

i've made on for the 05 vg stang and the 350Z/G35.

if someone can get me the tranny ratios for 5.0L manual and auto I will create gear app and post it today.

let me know
