Default Idle...

When it is cool or cold my car seems to idle at about 1300-2000 rpms. Why could this be? When its hot or warm its fine. Would a fuel pressure regulator help ya think?

by hot or warm to you mean temp outside or the engine warming up. bc it is supposed to idle higher when the engine is cold.

I mean outside air...And as for the idle bein higher in the cold i dont think it should be at 2k thats crazy. And i drive a half hour to work and it would be warm by then but it still does it at 2k. How would i check the idle bypass soleniod?

You can either check it by putting a meter on it, rev the engine up and down and see if theres a change in voltage (that will tell you if it's getting the volts to move it) or more likely pull it apart check it for sticking and/or if the diaphram is torn...
