Default decent deal

a friend of mine is selling an 83 5.0 it was painted flat black tinted windows no rust stock posi 8.8 rear end edelbrock intake and carb with a 5 speed manual. he was asking 1500 for the car as is and i was wondering if that was a good deal. the car has a decent amount of miles i dont know how many off hand there was no rebuild on the engine and from what ive heard it was driven prety hard

At that age, dont expect everything to be mechanically perfect... i would be more concerned with the body, etc... of course the engine cant be ****.... but if all is well, that's not a bad price in my opinion... [:-]

of course it was a fourbanger back then...

got mine for 1800 and it's a 91 vert everything ran fine cept a couple scratches here and there the traction loc is broken and the roof is torn in some places

but i consider it a steal

it's probably not stock than...but i'm looking for a new stang 81-91 and i can't find anything under 2400

Like they said watch out for rust. At 23 years old it may have some trouble areas.
But that is not a bad price for a 5.0
