Default new hood question

hi i was looking into getting a cowl hood for my 93 notch, i was thinkin of going with a 4incher. should i get fiberglass, what hardware do i need to install this and will it be bolto n or lift off, any help please, thanks a lt=ot!!!

those harwood steel cowl hoods are not light.....its cheaper to get a lift off but its not recommended you drive street with it...

if you get glass, buy a set of hood pins as well, even with the hinged ones. That's my only advice.

I have a fiberglass hood on a daily driver and I'm using both factory latch and pins. I haven't had a bit of problems

have any of you checked out suncoast real ram air hoods? they are the best loking hoods any where and they give you everything you need to make it work http://www.suncoastcreations.com/hoo...98_mustang.htm IM not sure what year mustangs hoods they have but just take a look at them it cost me $850.by the time it was ship to me but it is bad...slickmustang

kool thanks for the replies, i like those hoods slick , but i dont think they make one for the 93, i was thinking about a cheaper cowl hood, i like ur hood nos man, i was thyinkin an extended cowl hood would look sweeet! but, can i get one that doesnt come back so far that i can still use my wiper blades, thanks a lot, by the way that a 4 in nos? thanks

Usually not much unless you're going fast.

I had just the factory latch on my fiberglass hood and it kept popping up while driving down the road, so I put pins in as well. Keep the stock latch though because the safety can save you bigtime (buddy of mine forgot the pins on his racecar while bedding in new brakes... new hood later he's smarter)
