I had a cbr 600f2. I say "had" as I took it fer a quick ride with a buddy as the end of an abnormally warm feb day. We went about20 mins up the road and back and on the way back I decided to show off a little since his girl would not let him go fast. I high sidded at around 75-80 mph, ended up with a 105 ft skidmark and 95 feet away from where the mark ended. I had alot of roadrash and broke my wrist in three places(3 pins and a screw to put it togethe), broke my collar bone, as well as 40 stitches in the back of my head since I was too cool fer a helmet...

Always wear a helmet, and always expect the worst possible scenario and you will not be dissappointed.

Nice bike, that's a perfect bike for a first bike. The GXR would have been a little too much for a first timer. Next time get the ducati, and I promise you'll never go back.
