Default think i found my problem!!!

was hanging out with some other 5.0 guys and told them about how my car seems slow but doesnt burn oil and how it does run good just low on power, then i mentioned my gas pedal feels really low ,like almost on the floor and when i nail it i hvae to mash it into the rug...so i had one guy floor it while the car was off and then i checked the throttle body to see if there was still more room for it to go...almost a full inch was left i checked another guys car and nothing it was pretty much all the way....he told me he had already replaced his cable because the original streched and this very well might be my problem..i'm ordering a new cable tomm morning , i hope this is it!!!!!!!!! not that i expect it to be so fast but everyone thats been in it said it felt like it's slower then it should be..

I think that this is actaully a common problem after you get some miles on em. When I was getting mine tuned they checked my cable for full range of motion. The place I went to deals mainly with mustangs and said that he checks that first before anything.

If the slack in the pedal isn't too much you can take up the slack yourself. But its a pain to do so. I've done it on both mustangs I've owned and never needed to buy a new cable.

It isn't that much of a pain... just need a thin tube and some plastic ties.

How would you go about checkin the slack? And where would you put the lil piece of tubing in to pick up the slack?

have someone floor it (with the engine off) and another guy under the hood checking to see if you can open the butterfly anymore.
