i dont have cats so i dont think its those, and i havnt done any recent mods except a CAI? ive changed my cap and plugs and spark plugs last year but i put in bosch platnium 4's but i just bought autolights and havnt put em in yet. um besides that no recent mods except for gears... do u think a o2 sensor could do that?

as you can see by all of the suggestions, there are 100 things that could be causing this. go and get the codes pulled somewhere like mentioned above, and tell us what it is, then we can give you much better advise instead of just telling you to check 50 different things. if you get the code, it will really narrow things down.

How many miles are on the car? Sounds like a fuel delivery problem. Is your fuel pump audible inside the car?

i have a similar problem. Not to jack ur thread.
I punch it in first gear or second and the rpms just jump to 5k and then the back end kicks a bit. This happened after i did a tune up meaning spark plugs, wires, cap, fuel filter, and oil change. Could it be a slipping clutch??

not clutch isnt doint anything, its more of a motor problem, sounds like its coming from the the header attachment to the h-pipe (the popping sound)
