Default Noisy lifters and miss?

3 months ago I put AFR heads a trick flow intake, 1.7 rockers on my motor. The heads were adustable as far as the rocker arms go. I used the old lifters. After the swap, the first time I started it up the lifters were a little noisy, before the swap they weren't. I've been driving it for about 3 months with no problems just the lifters being slightly noisy. Today I started it up and one lifter is really noisy, I drove about 3 miles and the noise got louder and it started to miss. I think this means I have a bad lifter. Can anybody tell me whats up.

You don't think I should just replace the lifters. How could the rocker arm loosen up after only 3 months. Does that happen?

It's not that rare for a rocker to come loose. I've got some brand new ford racing lifters if you're interested.

Either the rockers are loose. Thats your best bet.

What length pushrods did you use with the AFR heads?

Or a lifter could have collapsed on you.

Take the valve covers off and wiggle the rocker arms, they should move ever so slightly, anything more than that and they're to loose, go back through all them. Did you tighten them down on the base circle of the cam?
